Last week saw the debut of a new apartment complex for homeless veterans at the West Los Angeles VA Medical Center campus.
The building, named for its address at 671 MacArthur Avenue, is a three-story structure that provides 74 units of permanent supportive housing. On-site amenities include a community garden, a gym, walking paths, a dog park, and a business center.
To date, 307 homes for veterans have been built on the campus, with seven additional buildings featuring 461 units currently under construction.
The Core Companies developed the project through a long-term ground lease, while supportive services will be provided by the VA and New Directions for Veterans.
